The latest book from Actress
Actress and award winning speaker Angela Ray will release her latest book, Rehearsing for the Leading Role: Lessons I Learned as an Actress That Can Help You Become a Megastar Student Leader this fall. In the book, Angela shares leadership lessons from her acting career both on stage and on the silver screen. Most recently, she was seen on Tyler Perry’s Love Thy Neighbor as the shady landlord, Carol. A few of her other credits include Keeping up with the Joneses, One Tree Hill, Sleepy Hollow, Dawson’s Creek and the film Louis, where she played the role of Louis Armstrong’s mother. The book also includes a foreword by Christopher “Play” Martin of Kid n Play, Hip-Hop Pioneer and former Artist in Residence at Florida A & M University.
The book features forty short lessons and interviews with successful college graduates from a variety of backgrounds and professions. Interviews include Essence bestselling author Stephanie Perry Moore, USA Today College Online writer and University of Miami Professor Patrick O’Brien, and former Cleveland Browns wide receiver turned attorney Braynard “Bobby” Brown just to name a few.
