Actress and award winning speaker Angela Ray will release her latest book, Rehearsing for the Leading Role: Lessons I Learned as an Actress That Can Help You Become a Megastar Student Leader on Tuesday, September 30, 2014. In the book, Angela blends her career as an actress with her passion for inspiring students. Currently, she can be seen on this season’s Tyler Perry’s Love Thy Neighbor as the shady landlord, Carol. Other credits include One Tree Hill, Dawson’s Creek and the film Louis, where she played the role of Louis Armstrong’s mother. The book also includes a foreword by Christopher “Play” Martin of Kid n Play,
Hip-Hop Pioneer and former Artist in Residence at Florida A & M University.
The book features forty short lessons and interviews with successful college graduates from a variety of backgrounds and professions.
